by Chris | October 1, 2009

The election of the host city for the 2016 Olympic Games will take place tomorrow, Friday, October 2nd during the 121st IOC Session in Copenhagen, Denmark. The committee will be choosing among Chicago, Madrid, Rio de Janeiro and Tokyo. The city that obtains the absolute majority of votes will be elected.

President and Michelle Obama, Oprah Winfrey, Mayor Richard Daley, Nadia Comaneci, Bart Conner, Jackie Joyner-Kersee, David Robinson and other VIPs are gathered in Copenhagen to help sell Chicago's quest for the 2016 Olympics.

Regardless of which city wins the bid, Olympic themes are always popular with corporate and association audiences, as are the Olympic Medal winners who share their inspirational stories.   For a list of Olympic champions available to speak or appear for a meet-and-greet at your next event, please contact Speak, Inc. at info@speakinc.com.
