According to new reports, thousands of lives could be saved by the reduction of dietary sodium intake. It is noted the average daily sodium intake for Americans is 50% above the daily recommended amounts.

Avoid processed foods
Only use low sodium, no salt, or no sodium added, foods
Prepare foods with little or no salt
