22 years ago today, our founder, Ruth Levine, incorporated Speak, Inc. and began this company.
"In 1989 when I started Speak, Inc.," says Ruth, "we thought we were cutting edge with the Mac SE 30s that ran our office and the audio tapes our clients used to preview speakers. 22 years later, we are streaming videos via a cloud and web site that provides our clients with the most up to date speaker information 24/7. I wonder what we will be using 22 years from now!"
It is amazing to think about how much business and technology has changed since 1989. Speak, Inc.'s president, Rich Gibbons, recalls that "In those days, email wasn't even a glimmer in anyone's eye, so everything was done by phone and the almighty fax. Duplicating innumerable VHS demo tapes was the norm. Those days serve as a stark contrast to the digital efficiencies of today!"
