Owner, George Steinbrenner, has waited years for his team to win again. At long last, his team did. Fittingly, the game was dedicated to Steinbrenner, the 79-year-old owner. Unfortunately, his health prevented him from attending the game. His son, Hal, the team's managing general partner, accepted the championship trophy.
