The mid-term election is one week from today:

The 2010 House of Representatives elections will be held for all 435 seats.  The winners of this election cycle will serve in the 112th Congress.

Elections to the Senate will be held for 37 of the 100 seats. The current Senate is composed of 57 Democrats, 41 Republicans, and two independents. Of the seats up for election,  19 are held by Democrats and 18 are held by Republicans.
