Conversation with an Upcoming Tokyo Paralympian

by Denise Irving | June 11, 2021

To be a competitive athlete in the Olympics requires not only commitment, discipline, mental toughness, and true grit, but also a lot of resiliency.

Jeff Bigelow sits down with author, songwriter, musician, TEDx speaker, AND Paralympian, Lex Gillette. Lex shares his remarkable story of losing his sight and how it ultimately shaped his future, the strict training schedule to prepare for competition, what influenced him to become a four-time Paralympic medalist, and his goals for the upcoming Tokyo Summer Olympics. (Pssst….spoiler alert: He’s going for GOLD)!

Lex is a true inspiration and challenges the way we think. No Need for Sight When You Have a Vision® is Lex’s mantra and his outlook on life.

Keep your eyes open for Lex in the upcoming games! In the meantime, you can check out Lex's 5-star book – Fly! – on Amazon.
