Ares I-X Rocket

by Chris | October 28, 2009

NASA's Ares I-X rocket is ready and waiting on the launch pad at the Kennedy Space Center in Cape Canaveral, Florida.  Yesterday the launch was cancelled due to clouds, winds, a stuck probe cover and a cargo ship in the rocket's "danger zone."  Today the launch has been postponed due to lightning strikes and weather conditions.

The launch of Ares I-X will provide NASA with an early opportunity to test and prove flight characteristics, hardware, facilities and ground operations.
